When can I expect to get my money?

Payment normally takes 1-2 working days to be completed excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays, from the receipt of your package.

How will I be paid?

Payment will be made by bank transfer.

How do I work out the value of my gold?

If you know the weight in grams and the carat of gold, simply use our latest online prices only to work out the value by multiplying the weight by the price per gram (weight x price per gram = value).

What if I don’t know the weight or carat of my gold?

Don't worry if you don't know we will check the carats and weigh the gold for you. The scales we use are government approved and are checked daily with test weights to ensure we get the exact weight of your gold. For any reason bits are not gold or you would like them returned there will be a charge of £9.50 for return tracked delivery which can be taken off your total if preferred.

When testing gold, small tarnishes may occur due to using jewellery acid in which case should be able to be polished out but we accept no responsibly if this occurs.

What if my jewellery contains stones?

We only buy gold or platinum on the weight, so stones or non precious metals, such as springs, fillings and any base metals will be estimated before being removed after approval with yourself.

What types of items do you buy?

We buy all gold and platinum.

Do you buy gold plated and costume jewellery?

No we only buy solid gold and platinum.

What if the free quotation is different from my calculation using your online prices?

The prices online are subject to change depending on how the live gold market is going. The prices we give you on your free quote will be from the gold fix on the morning we receive the gold. We also use our electronic government approved scales to accurately measure the weight of your gold.  Our quotation is free and you are under no obligation to accept when we contact you.
